Install in three steps

Using Word on the web instead? Sapling works on office.com through our browser extension.

  1. The Get Add-ins button in the Word ribbon

    Click Get Add-ins

    Within Word, click Get Add-ins. Try looking under the Insert menu if you don't see it.

  2. Searching the add-ins store for Sapling

    Search for Sapling

    Search for Sapling, then click Add and follow the instructions.

  3. The Launch Sapling button in the Home ribbon

    Under the Home menu, towards the right, click Launch Sapling to open the side pane and sign in.

After installation

Click the Launch Sapling icon, sign in, and click Start Sapling.

Sapling displays edits in the right side pane. Clicking an edit highlights it in the document. Click ✓ to accept an edit and × to ignore it.

Installing for an organization
