Command vs. WizardLM

Overview

Command is Cohere's enterprise model family for agents, retrieval-augmented generation, multilingual work, and private deployment. Command A+ is the current open-weight generation.

Cohere develops enterprise language models with an emphasis on retrieval, citations, multilingual applications, tool use, and data sovereignty. Command A+, released in May 2026, is a 218B-parameter mixture-of-experts model with 25B active parameters. It supports text and image input, reasoning, agentic workflows, 48 languages, and private deployment under the Apache 2.0 license.

Overview

WizardLM is a variant of LLaMA trained with complex instructions.

WizardLM is a LLM based on LLaMA trained using a new method, called Evol-Instruct, on complex instruction data. By using AI to "evolve" instructions, WizardLM outperforms similar LLaMA-based LLMs trained on simpler instruction data. On the 6th of July, 2023, WizardLM V1.1 was released with significantly improved performance, and as of 15 April 2024, WizardLM-2 was released with state-of-the-art performance.
